Metal additive manufacturing is fast becoming a staple part of manufacturing new parts and prototypes for many industries including medical and automotive. Radar MFG use the latest technologies and materials to 3D print high quality, complex metal parts. Metal 3D printing gives you greater design freedom and enables ne
Direct Metal Laser Sintering or DMLS is an industrial metal 3D printing technology. It is a powder bed fusion process, which builds parts from a range of metal materials one layer at a time by sintering metal powders together.
DMLS 3D printing is a process capable of building highly complex shapes which would be near impossible to make via other methods. This technology promises to have a massive range of applications as it improves and becomes better understood.
DMLS and SLM can produce accurate parts to 0.1mm. We can then post process CNC machine the parts to achive even tighter tolerances and add features such as tapped holes.
Efficiency
Metal printing enables you to reduce the number of parts needed to make products, designs that would typically be made in assemblies can be made in a single piece.
Complex Geometries
DMLS and SLM produces parts that cannot be made using traditional manufacturing techniques.
Metal 3D printed parts do not require tooling which reduces the manufacturing lead time from weeks to days, allowing for faster innovation and speed to market.
Also development and production costs are lower as you no longer need to invest in complex and expensive tooling but can go stright from CAD to part.
SLM and DMLS utilise powdered metals with strong mechanical and dynamic properties, making it perfect for end-use parts as well as prototypes. All of our processes and equipment are QC controlled and checked to esnure the parts we manufacture are right first time and every time.

We have coppers, aluminiums, steels, stainless steels, taitaniums and nikel based superalloys
This differs depending on the size and complexity of the parts but lead times for metal 3D printed parts typically start from 3-5 days.
WE can provide a range of finishing options including CNC machining, sand/bead blasting, plating and painting or powder coating.
