Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@radarmfg.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We work with a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, and plastic. CNC machining is a great choice for its massive range of materials available. Incldes many grades of plastic like ABS, PC, PA and POM as well as a range of metals including aluminium 6061, aluminium 7075 and a massive range of steels and stainless steels.

Our lead time varies depending on the complexity of the parts, the tolerances required and the quantity as well as any post process finishing required. That said most single parts can be machined within 3-7 days. The process begins with a DFM and then we do the programming for the CNC g-code, this takes 1-2 days, then the materials can be cust and setup on the machine and the machinign programmecan be run. Parts are then QC checked against drawing before moving to the finishing department and then final outgoing QC.

No, CNC machining is a fantastic choice not just for one off prototypes but also for production parts whether low or high volume. CNC machinign offers great precision, quality and repeatability and delivers fantastic production parts in a massive range of materials.
